Our Story

Meet The Founder: Michelle

I am the first generation born in the USA, and was raised by very loving parents who migrated from Portugal. However, 1 month after turning 10, an unfortunate event happened where I lost my father to a 4 month battle of brain cancer.

My mother continued to play both parent roles for my older sister and myself. From my mother, I learned how to be a strong independent woman, how to be courage during tough trails and confident to conquer whatever the day brings. Because of her, I am inspired to help women feel the same strength, courage and confidence.

Growing up, creative expression has always been important to me. All of my creative endeavors inspired me to fall in love with expressing who you are through creativity - especially with the way we can use creativity in fashion. From the way fabric is created, to watching a garment being handcrafted, to noticing how individuals style it on themselves. To me, fashion is not just clothes. It’s a form of art and a way to express oneself in an artistic manner. What we wear shows who we aspire to become. Finding that perfect outfit that truly gives us the confidence to conquer the everyday.

I worked in the high-end fashion retail setting and luxury fashion industry within corporate for over 10 years with brands such as Chanel, Gucci, Juicy Couture and more! While working in the retail setting, I loved connecting with the clients. Whether it was helping a college student find that perfect interview outfit, a bride to be in need of her dream bridal shower dress, or the new mom looking for an outfit that could make her feel like the beautiful woman she is and keep up with her new lifestyle.

Working in the high-end fashion world, I saw that these amazing and transforming pieces were not available to just anyone. It was as if you had to be part of an exclusive club, and ready to spend an unrealistic amount. I was ready to make a change, and create a place that provided pieces that were luxurious feeling, provided quality and could truly be available for anyone

All In The Detail Is All About You

In 2020, I decided to take that plunge and take the next step toward making my dream a reality. The week that I received my business permit, New Jersey was shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic! Undeterred, I was more than ready to take on the challenge, and turn lemons into lemonade.

My apartment became ground zero for the All In The Detail, where even my dining room became the setting for product photo shoots. I couldn’t have done it without my husband, Hancy, who always from the beginning encouraged me every step of the way, never lost faith, and donated his time, photography and video skills, and more! All In The Detail officially opened for business on April 17, 2020 as a curated online boutique. In 2022, we officially launched our first fully designed collection and have continued to design each piece since!

I truly believe that when you feel your best, you can conquer anything. All In The Detail our way of helping women conquer anything that comes their way, while feeling and looking their best. I am a sucker for design, details and believe that it is possible for you to have both quality and comfort – and that’s what you’ll find here with each designed piece. Like they say, ”It’s all in the detail!”
