Meet The Founder: Michelle

I was raised by very loving parents who migrated to the U.S. from Portugal. However, at a very young age, an unfortunate event happened where I lost my father to a battle of cancer. My mother had to continue playing both parent roles for my older sister and I. Being around her I learned how to be a strong independent woman, how to be courageous during tough trials and confident to conquer whatever my day brings. Because of her I aspire to inspire and help women feel the same strength, courage and confidence she gave and taught me.

Growing up, creative expression has always been important to me. All of my creative endeavors inspired me to fall in love with expressing who you are, especially with the way we can use creativity in fashion. From the way fabric is created, to watching a beautiful garment being handcrafted, to noticing how individuals style it on themselves. To me, fashion is not just clothes. It's a form of art and a way to express yourself in an artistic manner. What we wear shows who we aspire to become, and finding that right outfit, truly gives us the confidence to conquer the everyday.

With over 10 years of working in the fashion world, I worked in the high end retail setting and luxury fashion industry in corporate, such as Chanel and Gucci. While working in the retail setting, I loved connecting with the clients, and seeing how happy they could feel when helping them find that perfect outfit, and the confidence it truly gave them. Whether, it was helping a college student find that perfect interview outfit, or a bride to be in need of her dream bridal shower dress, or the new mom looking for an outfit that could make her feel like the beautiful woman she is but could keep up with her new lifestyle.

Working in the high end fashion world, I saw that these amazing and transforming pieces were not available to just anyone. It was as if you had to be part of an exclusive club and be ready to spend an unrealistic amount. I was ready to make a change, and create my own store where I could curate and create pieces that were luxurious feeling, provided quality and could truly be available for anyone.

All In The Detail Is All About You

In 2020, I decided to take that plunge and take the next step toward making my dream a reality. The week that I received my business permit, New Jersey was shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic! Undeterred, I was more than ready to take on the challenge, and turn lemons into lemonade. My apartment became ground zero for the shop and my dining room became the setting for product photo shoots. I couldn't have done it without my husband, Hancy, who encouraged me every step of the way, never lost faith, and donated his photography and videography skills. All in the Detail officially opened for business on April 17, 2020.

When putting together our collections, I am always inspired by romantic timeless looks, effortless feminine silhouettes, dreamy color tones, and textured fabrics. But most importantly I'm always inspired by you...the everyday woman.

I truly believe that when you feel your best, you can conquer anything. All In The Detail is my way of helping you conquer anything that comes your way while looking and feeling your best. I'm a sucker for design details and believe that it is possible for you have both quality and comfort – and that's what you'll find here. Like they say, "It's all in the detail!"
